Let's Play: Ludum Dare, 43, 42

Ludum Dare 43: Sacrifices must be made

Sacrifices Must Be Made

Great moody game with a story and a fun card game mechanic. Very worth playing for about 20 minutes. Not hard, but can be gory. Contains one big feast at the end!

I wonder why the opponent keeps saying the stoats are "noble"? Maybe the game maker just really likes stoats.

Eternal Home Floristry

Good art and great writing. Topics too grown-up for me. Contains a few prostitutions, gays, abuses, jealousies, murders, company mergers, hugs, and other grown-up nonsenses.

I guess maybe if you add ikebana with yakuza, you'd get this.

Documentia

I love taking the world apart piece by piece and seeing what people's reaction of utter confusion to the cosmic breakdown and despair in front of their impending doom. It's like a tutorial for psychopathy!

Be prepared to mess with the file system a bit.

Food Chainz

Why is there a rap battle rhythm game.

Medic

Fun and fast, reminds me of Diner Dash. It's about saving patients, but really no time to read the causes of death, so I don't feel like making any sacrifices.

Also, random mention of AI:
You will play an AI and try to save as many victims as you can.
Honestly, for playing as an AI, my score was pathetic. This game is the most basic kind of time-scheduling problem, and has been solved way back then, probably in WWII. Even a basic AI written in the 1960s should beat me hooves down.

FTD : Fixin' to Die

M.A.S.H. simulator. Hard and Happy-Tree-Friend gory.

Theme song I guess.

F R I E N D G U N

Talk to bullet friends, fire them out of your gun. If you hit, you kill them but kills evil. If you miss, they will escape to the stratosphere.
The reviews are great!
Fired my mom out of a cannon, 10/10, would pull the trigger again…

Sacrificial Wool

Using game options to mess with the game to win the game. Best meta masterpiece.

As Of Yet Unnamed

AMERICA FUCK YEAH.

Nature is Harsh

Platformer but you can throw your babies. Also there's natural documentary narration in the background.

Rocket of Souls

Great visual and sound effect. Meditative.

The beginning is super slow. It basically says that humans are escaping earth on a giant rocket fueled by souls.

The fuel is seen on the top of the rocket. Click on the humans inside to sacrifice them. If the rocket gets hit, it loses fuel. If it has no fuel, it explodes.

Ludum Dare 42: Running out of space

Inner space

A good moody game for an insanity mood. You run around a room and hit the walls with head to keep sane, while the pools of black nothingness eats your sanity.

It's like a metaphor for my intellectual life!

One Billboard Outside Of Catville

Funny game. You put posters on a poster wall and keep running out of space.

Reminds me of Night in the Woods.

Escape from The Alliance

Spaceship carrying refugees and doing some space battles. Very easy to use.

Blow the Hen Down

Pirates but with chickens everywhere. Wat.

DE/VOID

Meditative, minimal graphics. Shoot the balls to make them get bigger. Try not to run out of space.

Get Comfortable

How to sleep with an octopus. Or tetrapus.
